Analysis of the Subtitle of Vanity Fair Written by ThackerayAbstract William Thackeray was a 19th century Victorian English novelist of the critical realism,Vanity Fair is his masterpiece. The subtitle has not been published in any other translation, except for the two translations that Yang Jiang proposed for the preface to Yang Bi’s version of Vanity Fair: “a novel without a hero”.
