The Greeks have tried to capture our city ____ ten years. sincefor【小结】 since 短语或从句表示过去的动作延续至今，since 之后的时间为一点。 for 短语表示动作延续多长时间，for 的宾语为时间段。 二、The present perfect tense and the simple past tense. We can use both the present perfect tense and the simple past tense to talk about a past experience. 现在完成时和一般过去时都表示在过去完成的动作，但现在完成时强调的是这一动作与现在的关系，如对现在产生的结果或影响等，强调的是现在，常与 since…, for…, just, ever, never, before, already, yet, so far 等连用。而一般过去时只表示动作在过去某一时刻发生，不表示和现在的关系，常与表示过去的时间状语，如：yesterday, last year, three days ago, just now 等连用。 I have lost my new watch. 我把新手表丢了。(现在还没找到) I lost my new watch yesterday. 我昨天把新手表丢了。(现在找到与否没说明) 【观察】 I ____________ history ____________.
