本周六11月7日EMBA「管理決策國際觀」個案討論內容個案一、窮人銀行/窮人保單November3,2009ConnectoroftheDay–MuhammadYunusPosted:1700GMTMuhammadYunusreceivedtheNobelPeacePrizein2006forhispioneeringworkin“microcredit”whichhashelpedmillionsofpeopleoutofthepovertycycle.Thefirstbusinessmanevertoreceivesuchahighhonor,Yunushasrevolutionizedconventionalwaysofbanking,creatingasystemoflendingsmallamountstoentrepreneurswithnocollateral.RecentlyhehasbackedtheNobelcommittee'scontroversialdecisiontoawardthe2009peaceprizetoU.S.PresidentBarackObama.YunussetuptheGrameenbankinBangladeshin1983(Grameenliterallymeans"ofthevillage"inBengali),andhassincedisbursedabout$8billiontoBangladeshimicro-entrepreneurs,97percentofwhomarewomeninbusinessessuchasstreetvendingandfarming.Thebank'sconceptissimple.“Creditisabasichumanright”,saysYunus.“Offerevenasmallcreditandapersonwillworkouthowtobestuseittobreakfreeofpoverty”.Theaverageloanisjust$220,andrepaymentsarenear100percent.This"microcredit"modelhasbeencopiedalloverthedevelopingworld.In2009duringaglobaleconomicrecessionGrameenhasbeenlittleaffectedaccordingtoYunus.Infactithasnowsetitssightsonhelpingthepoverty-strickenintheU.S.Afterthesubprimemortgagemeltdownandtougherstandardsbylenders,poorAmericansdeemedunworthyofcreditbycommercialbanksnowhavesomewheretoturn.Lastyear,GrameenopenedabranchinNewYorkCity'sJacksonHeights,animmigrantenclavejustmilesfromtheglobalcenteroffinance,WallStreet.Yunussaysthefinancialcrisisoffersanopportunityforbusinesses,banksandgovernementstorevolutionize,andcreateafairereconomicsystemfortheworld'spoor.Sendyourquestionsforthebankerwithaconsciencebelow,andwe’lldoourbesttoputthemtoMuhammadYunus,ourConnectoroftheDayonWednesday.Postedby:ConnecttheWorldProducersFiledunder:Connectoroftheday•FutureConnectors相關Video—連結MuhammadYunus：http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/international/2008/03/28/pv.muhammad.yunus.cnn國泰人壽關懷弱勢族群第一張「窮人保單」搶得頭籌更新日期:2009/10/2910:18生活中心／綜合報導國內第一張微型保單由國泰人壽拔得頭籌，經濟弱勢者，只要符合9大投保條件之一、以集體方式委託鄉鎮市公所等代理投保單位向國泰人壽辦理，便能以年繳197元保費，獲得最高30萬元意外傷害的保障。金管會表示，目前還有南山人壽、富邦人壽、兆豐產險及泰安產險等4張微型保險正在審查當中。保險博聞網指出，「弱勢保單」跟「窮人保單」的出現，將有助於現有經濟狀態人民生活的基本保障，民眾只要繳較少的費用，就可以取得應急所需，提供這樣的保險，對貧苦家庭及一些弱勢族群，不會再發生眼見災害發生，卻有心無力去承擔責任的後果，而造成社會成本更大的損失。金管會保險局表示，所謂「微型保險」為保險業針對經濟弱勢者提供特定風險基本保障的保險商品，主要特色就是低保額、低保費、保障內容簡單易懂。目前除了國壽這張微型傷害險外，南山人壽、兆豐產險、及泰安產險也是以傷害保險為主，富邦壽則推出微型壽險。國泰人壽這張微型傷害保險保額為1至30萬元，年保費每萬元只要6.58元，以最高保額30萬元來計算，年繳保費只要197元，而且投保年齡無特別限制，0-99歲都可投保，不過，想要投保的民眾則需要集體投保(5人以上)，而且一定要委託代理投保單位，例如鄉鎮公所、社福單位等，代為向國泰人壽辦理。保險局強調，推動微型保險之目的在於藉由商業保險增進經濟弱勢民眾之基本保險保障，並鼓勵保險業善盡社會責任，目前推動之微型保險性質上仍為商業保險，而非社會保險或社會救助制度，故保險費係由要保人自行支付予保險公司，並非仰賴政府補貼挹注保險費支出，期盼藉由微型保險之推動，鼓勵經濟弱勢民眾自力安排商業保險以強化自身基本保險保障。不過，購買微型保單...
