定语从句Period 2（三）定语从句中的介词问题 练习 3 ：１．用适当的“介词＋关系代词”填空：a.Where is the boy _____________ you were playing basketball just now?b.Mother told me that Austria was the nicest country ___________ she’d ever been.定语从句c.The village has a very big tree _______________ the villagers often have meeting.d.The fox ____________ the chicks were killed was shot.e.The Yellow River is the second longest river in China, ____________ more than a dozen bridges have been built.f.The man, ___________ I learned the news, is an engineer.g.The little girl still missed those days ________________ she could stay with her mother.定语从句请思考：以上哪几个空可换用其它关系词？哪些不可以？注意：并非所有的“介词＋关系代词”都可换用关系副词。以上练习中只有b 中可用 where 替换；g 中可用 when 替换。即：“ 介词＋关系代词”结构只有单纯表示地点或时间并作状语时才能用 where 或 when 替换。如果表示方式(a,f) 、具体的位置关系 (c,e) 、动作发出者 (d) 等则不可用一个词代替。定语从句２．介词在定语从句中的位置有时会影响关系词的使用：e.g. ^ Do you still remember the river that/which/X we used to catch fish in?→Do you still remember the river in which we used to catch fish?^The girl who/whom/that /X I danced with has gone home.→The girl with whom I danced has gone home.从以上例子中可看出：当介词放在从句句首时，修饰人应用 whom, 修饰物应用 which 。而当介词放在从句句中时，我们可能有更多选择。定语从句３．有一些介词为固定搭配的一部分，此时它们的位置应注意：e.g. The boy (whom) my sister is looking after is getting better.不能说成： The boy after whom my sister is looking is getting better.e.g. These are common mistakes in your writing, which you should pay attention to.也可说成： These are common mistakes in your writing, to which you should pay attention.定语从句（四） As 引导的定语从句...
