第 2 课时 (Section A Grammar Focus － 4c)单 词afford点拨 afford 意为“花费得起；能够做；承担得起 ( 后果 ) ；提供；给予”， afford to do sth. 意为“承担得起做某事；有能力做某事”。如：I can't afford to spend this holiday this summer. 今年夏天我无法度假。短 语take part in点拨take part in 意为“参加……活动；参与到……活动中”， in 为介词，后可接名词、代词或动名词。如：We all took part in the school sports meeting yesterday. 我们昨天都参加了校运会。辨析take part in, join, join in 与 attend这几个词或短语都有“参加”的意思，但用法不同。(1)take part in 指参加会议或群众性活动等，着重说明句子主语参加该项活动并在活动中发挥作用。如：We'll take part in social practice during the summer vacation.暑假期间我们将参加社会实践。注意： take part in 是惯用短语， part 前一般不用冠词，但part 前有形容词修饰时，要用不定冠词。(2)join 指加入某个党派，团体组织等，成为其成员之一，意为“参军、入团、入党”等。如：When did your brother join the army ？你哥哥什么时候参军的？(3)join in 多指参加小规模的活动，如球赛、游戏等，常用于日常口语。如：Come along, and join in the ball game. 快，来参加球赛。(4)attend 是正式用语，做及物动词，指参加会议，婚礼，葬礼，典礼；去上课，上学，听报告等。句子的主语只是去听，去看，自己不一定起积极作用。如：He'll attend an important meeting tomorrow. 他明天要参加一个重要的会议。语 法1 ．现在进行时点拨现在进行时表示现在或现阶段正在进行或发生的动作或存在的状态。其构成为：助动词 be (is/am/are) ＋ v.-ing 。如：I am looking for a pair of black shoes. 我正在找一双黑色的鞋。现在进行时的用法：(1) 表示说话人说话时正在进行的动作，译为“正在”，常用的时间状语有： now, at this time, at present, at the moment 等。如：I'm doing my homework now. 我现在正在做作业。(2) 表示现阶段但并非眼下正在进行着的动作，常与 thesedays, this week 等表示现阶段的时间范围的词或短语连用。如：He is learning English at college these days. 这些天，他正在大学学英语。...
