Firstly, the development background and application prospect of mobile communication in the 3G era are introduced, and the new challenges posed by the 3G era to the mobile transmission network are analyzed. Then, different transmission technologies are analyzed, and their advantages and disadvantages are evaluated. Finally, specific strategies and suggestions for the construction and optimization of transmission networks are put forward, including the deployment of fiber access networks, the optimization of distributed access networks, and the transformation and upgrading of core networks.
