In this process, monetary policy should also adapt to market demand and internationalization trend, while paying attention to the linkages between domestic and foreign exchange markets in order to maintain national financial security and stability. Based on the data of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, this paper conducts an empirical study on the linkage between RMB and foreign exchange markets, exploring its influencing factors and laws from aspects of exchange rate fluctuation, foreign exchange supply and demand, market liquidity, and the impact of international trade on RMB. It aims to provide reference and suggestions for the formulation of China's monetary policy.Keywords: RMB internationalization; foreign exchange market; linkage relationship; monetary policy
