This study aims to explore the effects of DHA and EPA on rumen fatty acid composition and rumen microbial community structure in goats. The research was designed as two groups of control experiments, feeding with DHA+EPA feed and regular feed respectively, and observing for 6 weeks and collected samples for analysis. The results showed that the DHA+EPA-fed group of goats' rumen contained significantly increased levels of DHA and EPA, while the content of saturated fatty acids decreased significantly; regarding the microbial community structure, the abundance and diversity index of microbial communities in the DHA+EPA-fed group was higher than that in the control group, and the microbial content also increased. In summary, DHA and EPA can regulate rumen fatty acid composition and microbial community structure in goats, which is of great significance for the healthy growth and production of goats.Keywords: goat, rumen, DHA, EPA, microbial community structure, fatty acids.
