However, long-term use of cisplatin can cause various side effects and drug resistance. Therefore, finding adjuvant therapy has become an important way to alleviate these side effects and improve efficacy. EGCG is a polyphenolic compound extracted from green tea, which has been proven to have anti-cancer and antioxidant properties. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of EGCG on the sensitivity of cervical cancer cells to cisplatin and explore its mechanism. The results showed that EGCG could enhance the sensitivity of cervical cancer cells to cisplatin by inhibiting the lysosomal pathway. At the same time, EGCG can promote cell apoptosis, and inhibit cell proliferation and migration. In conclusion, EGCG may be a potential adjuvant therapy for cervical cancer, which can enhance the efficacy of cisplatin and alleviate its side effects.【Keywords】EGCG; cervical cancer; cisplatin; lysosomal pathway; cell apoptosis
