The purpose of this article is to explore the function and regulatory mechanism of this gene in cotton fiber cell development.In this study, gene editing technology will be used to knock out and overexpress Gh3β-HSD gene, and the gene expression and fiber quality of cotton fiber growth will be analyzed to study the function of this gene. At the same time, the yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) system will be used to screen for proteins that interact with this gene to reveal its regulatory mechanism.It is expected that the research results will help to further understand the mechanism of Gh3β-HSD gene in cotton fiber development and provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for cotton breeding.【Key words】gene editing technology; cotton fiber development; Gh3β-HSD gene; protein interaction; yeast two-hybrid system
