Program downloading is a key link in the MCU development process. In order to improve development efficiency and system reliability, this paper designs a program downloading system for MC9S12 series MCU. The system is based on serial downloading protocol, which can communicate with the computer through RS232 serial port to realize program downloading, erasing, detection and other operations. At the same time, the system can detect the model and state of the chip to ensure that the downloaded program is suitable for the target chip. The experimental results show that the system can stably and reliably perform program downloading and debugging, providing convenience for MCU development.Keywords: MCU program downloading, RS232 serial port, serial downloading protocol, MC9S12 series
