The preparation process was synthesized by hydrothermal method, using kaolin as the carrier, and doping different mass fractions of tetrabutyl titanium and ethanol water solution respectively, to prepare a series of kaolin/TiO2 nanocomposites with different compositions. The morphology and crystal structure of the composites were characterized by X-ray diffractometry and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the grain size of the composites increases and the dispersion effect of the nanoparticles weakens with the increase of tetrabutyl titanium mass fraction. The optical properties of the samples were analyzed by UV-visible absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum. When the mass fraction of tetrabutyl titanium was 5%, the composite material showed the strongest absorbance and fluorescence intensity, and excellent fluorescence performance was displayed.Keywords:kaolin/TiO2 nanocomposites, preparation, optical properties.
