In WDM networks, multiple wavelengths are used to transmit data simultaneously, improving the overall transmission capacity and efficiency of the network. However, efficient routing and wavelength allocation algorithms are necessary to optimize network performance. Objective:The objective of this research is to propose a random search algorithm for static routing and wavelength assignment in WDM networks, aiming to improve network efficiency and reduce wavelength conflicts.Methodology:The random search algorithm will be designed based on the following steps:1. Randomly select a wavelength for each connection request from the available wavelengths.2. Check for wavelength conflicts and select another wavelength if necessary.3. Assign a router for each connection request.4. Check for overlapping routes and select another router if necessary.5. Repeat steps 1-4 until all connection requests are assigned with a wavelength and a router. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, simulation experiments will be conducted using the NS2 simulation tool. The following metrics will be used to evaluate the performance of the algorithm:精品文档---下载后可任意编辑1. Blocking probability: the ratio of the number of blocked connection requests to the total number of connection requests.2. Routing delay: the time taken to route a connection request from its source to destination.3. Wavelength conversion: the number of times a wavelength needs to be converted for a connection request.Expected outcomes:It is expected that the proposed random search algorithm will provide an efficient solution for static routing and wavelength allocation in WDM networks. The algorithm is expected to reduce wavelength conflicts and improve network performance by optimizing the use of available wavelengths and routers. Conclusion:This research will contribute to the development of efficient routing and wavelength allocation algorithms for WDM networks. The proposed random search algorithm can be further optimized in future studies, leading to more efficient and reliable WDM networks.
