The purpose of this study is to explore the photosynthetic characteristics and light inhibition phenomena of different types of aging peony varieties. The chlorophyll content, photosynthesis rate, respiration rate and other indicators of peony leaves were measured, and light inhibition experiments were conducted under appropriate light conditions. The experimental results showed that the photosynthetic rate of peony leaves of different varieties varied greatly, and they showed different responses under different light conditions. At the same time, the study also found that the light inhibition phenomenon of different peony varieties is also different, and there are significant differences between varieties. This study is of positive significance for a deeper understanding of the photosynthetic characteristics and light inhibition phenomena of different types of aging peony varieties.【Keywords】Peony; Aging type; Photosynthesis; Light inhibition
