Polyaniline was used as the adsorbent to investigate the adsorption effect of polyaniline on different carriers. The experimental results showed that polyaniline loaded on activated carbon and graphene oxide had good adsorption effect, with adsorption amounts of 11.8mg/g and 14.3mg/g, respectively. The effect of adsorption conditions on the adsorption of Ag+ by polyaniline was further studied, and it was found that the best adsorption effect was under acidic conditions. In addition, the adsorption isotherm and kinetic curves of polyaniline adsorbing Ag+ were determined, and the thermodynamic properties of the adsorption process were analyzed. The study showed that the adsorption process of polyaniline loaded on graphene oxide was an endothermic reaction, which was consistent with the Langmuir adsorption model and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Therefore, the adsorption method of polyaniline loaded on graphene oxide has the advantages of high efficiency, feasibility, repeatability, etc., and is suitable for the treatment of silver ions (Ag+) in water.Keywords: polyaniline; graphene oxide; activated carbon; adsorption; silver ions
