This study investigated two different methods for preparing molybdate conversion coatings on AZ magnesium alloys, including the formulation of the passivation solution, treatment time, and temperature. The performance of the molybdate conversion coatings was characterized using SEM, XRD, and other testing methods, and the factors affecting the coatings were analyzed.
