Since the first CAEXPO in 2024, slogans have been used to promote the event and emphasize its significance. However, there is a lack of empirical research on the effectiveness and quality of the English translations of these slogans, which are crucial for promoting the event to an international audience.Research Questions:This research aims to answer the following questions:1. What are the characteristics and functions of the slogans used at the CAEXPO?2. How effective and appropriate are the English translations of these slogans?3. What are the factors that influence the quality of these translations?Methodology:This research will use a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the slogans and their translations. The slogans and their English translations from the 17 editions of the CAEXPO (2024-2024) will be collected and analyzed using content analysis to identify their characteristics and functions. A sample of the English translations will be evaluated by both native and non-native speakers of English using a questionnaire designed to assess their effectiveness and appropriateness.
