This paper aims to study the synthesis, structure and related properties of molybdenum oxide clusters, which will lay a foundation for their further applications.Firstly, this paper introduces the research status and significance of molybdenum oxide clusters, and analyzes their potential applications in the fields of energy, environment and catalytic chemistry. Then, the synthesis methods of molybdenum oxide clusters are classified and summarized, including oxidation, reduction, cation and anion exchange methods. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are briefly discussed.Next, this paper focuses on the structural characteristics of molybdenum oxide clusters.
