The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between motivational variables and their academic performance in English among non-English majors. The study employs a quantitative approach with survey research design to collect data from a sample of non-English majors in a Chinese university. The research instrument will be a questionnaire that assesses participants’ motivations for learning English, including intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, attitudes towards English learning, and perceived learning outcomes. The data collected will be analyzed using statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics and correlation analysis.
