Therefore, multi-core processors and system-on-chip (SoC) platforms have become a more and more popular option. This paper explores the design and implementation of a multi-core SoC platform for media applications.Firstly, this paper introduces the basic architecture and characteristics of multi-core SoC platforms. Then, the special requirements of media applications and their performance requirements on multi-core SoC platforms are analyzed.
