The Oral English Learning Problems and Strategies of English Majors in Higher Vocational CollegesAbstractAbstract : English is the most widely spoken language in the world. With the progress of the times, people have more opportunities to use spoken English to communicate in spoken English. The role of spoken English in people's daily lives is becoming more and more important. The quality of oral English teaching directly affects the level of oral expression. However, the quality of oral English teaching at this stage is not ideal, even the English majors of various universities are no exception. For example, the phenomenon of “dumb English” is still widespread, oral teaching is still seen, and the oral testing mechanism is still immature. In order to understand the problems existing in the oral English teaching activities of English majors in colleges and universities, and to explore solutions to the problems, the author used 50 teachers and 182 students of English majors in four colleges and universities in Jilin Province as the research object, using questionnaires, interviews and other methods.
