使用定语从句易犯的错误由于定语从句的结构和用法比较复杂，使用时很容易犯一些错误，做常见的有下列几种：1．省略了定语从句中作主语的关系代词。如：(1) 误：The man called today left this message for you . 正：The man who (that)called today left this message for you . 译：今天打电话的那个人给你留下了信息。分析：定语从句中作主语的关系代词 who 或 that 不能省略。(2) 误：The key opens the room is missing.正：The key which (that) opens the room is missing.译：打开这件房门的钥匙不见了。分析：定语从句中作主语的关系代词 which 或 that 不能省略。2．定语从句中丢掉了谓语动词后的介词。如：（1） 误：The man (whom) he spoke made no answer.正：The man (whom) he spoke to made no answer.译：他谈话的那个人没有作出回答。分析：句中 spoke 后应加上 to，与某人谈话要用 speak to somebody。（2） 误：The child she took care yesterday is her nephew.正：The child she took care of yesterday is her nephew.译：昨天她照顾的孩子是她的外甥。分析：take care of 是固定短语“照顾”的意思。3．定语从句中谓语动词的单、复数或时态弄错。如：（1） 误：This is one of the rivers in China which flows northward.正：This is one of the rivers in China which flow northward.译：这是中国向北流的河流之一。分析：flows 应改为 flow，因为 which 指的是 rivers，而不是 one。（2） 误：The man who is driving the car was drunk..正：The man who was driving the car was drunk..译：开车的那个人喝醉酒了。分析：应把 is 改为 was，这句话中从句谓语动词应该是过去进行时态。4．没有搞清楚定语从句中关系代词和关系副词的区别。如：（1） 误：This is the town which he was born..正：This is the town where he was born.. 或 This is the town in which he was born.译：这是他出生的那个城镇。分析：句中 the town 表示地点，在从句中充当地点状语，应该用关系副词 where 或in which。（2） 误：Tell me the time which the rain leaves.正：Tell me the time when the rain leaves. 或 Tell me the ...
