The vast power system is the most complicated man-made system and the greatest engineering innovation in the 20th century. To design, operate and control such a system must use the methods of modeling and optimization. Thus for the future engineers and managers in the power industry, it’s significant to learn the knowledge and methodologies that will help to make the reasonable decisions in the future career. The course is structured with two categories of contents which are the basic knowledge and the application. The knowledge is introduced as different optimization models such as the linear planning and the dynamic planning. While the application is based on a power system case analysis and project design.
