Linguistics description refers to the exploration and classification of linguistic features of a given text. B. Linguistic features —in 5 categories, i.e. phonology, graphology, lexis/leksəs/(词 汇 ), syntax/grammar, and semantics. C. Consistency and relative frequency—linguistic features in 5 categories analyzed in stylistic way. Note: Generally speaking, when we say that a text has certain linguistic features, we mean that these features recur (反复出现) or prevail(盛行) in the text. That is to say, frequencies of certain linguistic features should be calculated, the stylistic functions of which would be helpful for us to analyze a text. 2.
