The recovery of the distant part of the extremity in most patients is poor and most of the survivors have drop and equinovarus foot which can significantly affect the gait of the patients and can lead to lower limb injuries and even result in the fall. Now ， there exist several protocols for the treatment of drop and equinovarus foot ， including exercise training ， ankle foot orthosis ， low frequency electrical stimulation， injection of botulinum toxin type A， kinesio taping and surgery.
