The cell viability was analyzed by CCK-8 assays, and cell apoptosis was measured by Annexin V/PI double staining. The expression levels of apoptotic body related proteins were detected by Western blot. The results showed that after infection with AfMNPV, the cell survival rate gradually decreased, the cell apoptosis rate gradually increased, and the expression levels of apoptotic body related proteins in the cells also increased. In addition, after knocking down the expression of the Bcl-2 gene using RNA interference technology, the expression levels of apoptotic body related proteins were significantly increased, and the cell apoptosis rate was also significantly increased. This suggests that Bcl-2 is an important factor that inhibits cell apoptosis during AfMNPV infection of SL-1 cells.
