First, Au-Pd nano-particle precursors were prepared by co-precipitation method, and then Au-Pd bimetallic catalysts were prepared by heating reduction method. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The results show that the prepared Au-Pd bimetallic catalysts have good crystal structure and morphology, and present a homogeneous alloy structure at the nanoscale. The catalyst exhibits excellent catalytic activity and stability in the oxidation of phenol.
