However, TiO2 still has some limitations, such as narrow light absorption range and low photocurrent density. To overcome these drawbacks, research has focused on developing new photoanode materials with better performance.Recently, Pb-based photoanodes have emerged as promising materials for DSSCs due to their wide light absorption range and high photocurrent density. TiPbO2 is one such material that has exhibited high photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance. However, the low charge carrier mobility and recombination rate of TiPbO2 limit its practical applications.To enhance the PEC performance of TiPbO2, it is necessary to modify the material with suitable dopants and interlayers. In this project, we propose to prepare Eu3+-doped TiPbO2 electrodes with a Sn/Sb interlayer and study their performance.Objectives:The objectives of this project are:1. To synthesize Eu3+-doped TiPbO2 electrodes with Sn/Sb interlayer using a sol-gel method.2. To characterize the structural, optical, and electrochemical properties of the synthesized electrodes using techniques such as XRD, SEM, UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).3.
