This study aims to explore the activity regulation mechanism, new functions, and related crystal structures of the HECT-type ubiquitin ligase Snurfl. Firstly, the catalytic mechanism of the HECT-type ubiquitin ligase Snurfl and the structure of the ubiquitin-like substrate protein were studied by various angles and methods, and its role in the ubiquitin conjugation reaction was determined. Further, the role of Snurfl in the cell was studied by proteomics technology, and it was found that Snurfl could regulate important biological processes such as cell cycle, DNA damage repair, and cell apoptosis. Finally, X-ray crystal structure analysis revealed the intermolecular interactions in the Snurfl complex and its functional regulation mechanism.Keywords: HECT-type ubiquitin ligase; Snurfl; activity regulation; new function; crystal structure
