Most ingested foreign bodies in the esophagus can be removed by endoscopy. Hopkins endoscope is a type of thin, flexible endoscope with adjustable focus that provides high-quality images of the body's interior structures. It has become an important instrument in the diagnosis and treatment of various digestive tract diseases. This research aims to explore the application experience of Hopkins endoscope in esophageal foreign body removal surgery and its effectiveness.Methodology:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 50 patients who underwent esophageal foreign body removal surgery using Hopkins endoscope in our hospital from 2024 to 2024. The age, gender, type of foreign body, location in the esophagus, anesthesia method, operation time and complications were recorded. The success rate of foreign body removal and the satisfaction of patients were evaluated.Results:Of the 50 patients, 30 were male and 20 were female, with an average age of 42.5 years. The types of foreign body included fish bones, chicken bones, coins, and other miscellaneous objects. Foreign bodies were located in various parts of the esophagus, with the middle and upper part being most common. All the operations were performed under general anesthesia, and the average operation time was 20 minutes. The foreign body was successfully removed in all patients without any complications.
