Recent studies have shown that certain microRNAs may play important roles in the occurrence and development of gliomas. This study aims to explore the role and mechanism of microRNA-184 in gliomas. Through cell culture experiments and molecular biology techniques in the laboratory, we studied the expression of microRNA-184 in glioma cells and its effects on gliomas. The results showed that microRNA-184 was significantly down-regulated in gliomas and was closely related to the degree of malignancy, prognosis, and treatment response. We also found that microRNA-184 could inhibit the proliferation and invasion of glioma cells and achieve this effect by regulating the target genes. Our research results suggest that microRNA-184 may be an important therapeutic target, and its expression can be adjusted to prevent the occurrence and development of gliomas.Keywords: microRNA-184, glioma, proliferation, invasion, therapeutic target
