However, there is an important problem in Mn-based Heusler alloys, which is the magnetic compensation phenomenon. Due to the existence of magnetic compensation, the magnetic properties of these alloys are limited in practical applications. Therefore, the study of magnetic compensation effects in Mn-based Heusler alloys and the resolution of the influence of magnetic compensation phenomena on the magnetic properties of this class of materials are of great significance.In this report, we will first introduce the structure and magnetic properties of Mn-based Heusler alloys, and then explain the definition and mechanism of magnetic compensation phenomenon, and summarize previous research achievements.
