Among them, β2 integrin, also known as CD18, is primarily expressed on leukocytes and plays a key role in immune response and inflammation. The activation of β2 integrin is a regulated process that involves various intracellular signaling pathways and extracellular ligand binding. P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1 (PSGL-1), a leukocyte-specific glycoprotein, has been shown to interact with β2 integrin and activate its function.
