This paper proposes a new protocol named HT-MAC, which aims to improve the throughput and data transmission rate of WSN by reasonable transmission data and control signals. The main feature of the HT-MAC protocol is the use of time-division duplex (TDD) communication mode to achieve fast transmission and reception of data frames, thereby achieving the goal of high throughput. In addition, the protocol uses a dynamic bandwidth allocation method to allocate bandwidth based on the traffic demand of nodes to prevent network congestion. Finally, this paper uses NS-3 simulation software to implement the HT-MAC protocol and analyze its performance and effect.Key words: wireless sensor network; protocol design; high throughput; time-division duplex communication; bandwidth allocation; NS-3 simulation
