First, this paper briefly introduces the origin, basic concepts and mathematical expressions of the Cosserat continuum model, and further explains and applies it with Solid Mechanics and Continuum Mechanics.Furthermore, in this paper, we will introduce the essential characteristics and mathematical expressions of the three-dimensional Cosserat continuum model, as well as its description of the mechanical properties, dynamic properties and damage behavior of solids.
