The methods such as heat treatment, microstructure analysis, tensile and hardness test were used to study the mechanical properties of the alloy. The experimental results show that the content of Cu and Mg elements significantly affect the strength and ductility of the alloy. Adding Cu and Mg elements to the alloy can improve its strength, but the effect on ductility is different. Increasing Cu content will decrease the ductility of the alloy, while increasing Mg content is beneficial to increase the ductility of the alloy. In addition, the ratio of Cu and Mg elements in the alloy also affects its mechanical properties. When the CuMg ratio is 1:2, the strength of the alloy is the highest, but the ductility is the worst. Therefore, according to the actual application requirements of the alloy, different element contents and ratios can be used to adjust the mechanical properties of the alloy.Keywords: Al-Cu-Mg-Ag alloy; Cu; Mg; CuMg ratio; mechanical properties
