In the analysis process, this paper compares two different connection methods, namely strength connection and stiffness connection. The results show that under horizontal loads, the strength connection method can increase the stiffness and bearing capacity of the shear wall, while the stiffness connection method can reduce the stress concentration phenomenon of the wall board. This paper studies the mechanical properties of double-sided connected single and double-layer steel plate shear walls, which is of great reference value for optimizing the design of steel plate shear walls.Keywords: steel plate shear wall, finite element analysis, connection method, mechanical performance
