One of the important factors influencing the formation of phase sequences is the behavior of sulfur and iron, which play a crucial role in the physicochemical changes occurring during the sintering process. Therefore, it is necessary to study the behavior of sulfur and iron during the sintering process in order to improve the quality of sinter.Objectives:The objective of this study is to investigate the behavior of sulfur and iron during sintering process by using the serial sintering method. The specific objectives are:1. To determine the effects of sulfur and iron on the sintering process.2. To analyze the phase sequences formed during the sintering process in the presence of sulfur and iron.3. To investigate the influence of different sintering parameters, such as temperature, holding time and cooling rate, on the behavior of sulfur and iron.Methodology:The serial sintering method will be used for this study. The method involves the sintering of a small amount of material at a time, followed by the addition of more iron ore fines and additives for the next cycle of sintering. This process is repeated until a desired amount of material is sintered. The samples will be analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) to identify the phase compositions and their evolution during the sintering process.
