As a vital part of Chinese tourism industry, the promotion of Zhangjiajie's attractions has been one of the critical tasks to attract more international tourists. English is the most widely spoken language in the world, and the translation of Zhangjiajie's tourism materials into English plays a vital role in promoting and attracting more international tourists.However, the current state of Zhangjiajie's English tourism materials is far from satisfactory. Although there are various translations of Zhangjiajie tourism materials, they are often full of language errors, inappropriate vocabulary, and cultural misunderstandings. These problems impede the promotion of Zhangjiajie's tourism industry and even affect the reputation of Chinese language and culture.Therefore, in this study, we propose to investigate the translation of Zhangjiajie's tourism materials from a perspective of anticipation. By analyzing the existing problems in the current translation and exploring the anticipations of the foreign tourists, we aim to provide a more effective approach and strategy of translating Zhangjiajie's tourism materials into English.Research Questions:1.
