Caspase-3 is one of the major regulators that promote cellular apoptosis, and its over-activation correlates with neuronal death. This study aims to investigate the effect of Yidali-ping on the expression of Caspase-3 in the hippocampal CA1 region of rats with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. The rat model of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion was adopted, and Yidali-ping or saline was administered. Immunofluorescence staining and Western blot were performed to detect the expression of Caspase-3. The results showed that the expression of Caspase-3 in the hippocampal CA1 region of rats was significantly reduced in the Yidali-ping group compared with the control group. This indicates that Yidali-ping has a protective effect on neuronal apoptosis in the hippocampal CA1 region of rats with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.Keywords: Yidali-ping; cerebral ischemia-reperfusion; Caspase-3; hippocampal CA1 region; neuronal apoptosis; protective effect.
