The main purpose of this study is to design and synthesize iron-iron hydrogenase active center model compounds and related cluster compounds, and study their performance and mechanism of catalyzing hydrogenation reactions. The specific research contents include the following aspects: (1) design and synthesis of iron-iron and nickel-iron cluster compounds with different ligand modifications; (2) establishing the chemical structure of stable iron-iron and nickel-iron cluster compound-hydrogenase active center model compounds; (3) studying the catalytic hydrogenation reaction performance and mechanism of model compounds; (4) analyzing the similarities and differences between model compounds and the natural hydrogenase structure and their effects on reaction properties.Keywords: iron-iron hydrogenase; nickel-iron hydrogenase; active center model compounds; cluster compounds; catalytic hydrogenation reaction.
