First, the basic principles and mechanisms of methane reforming reactions are introduced, and the role and mechanism of non-equilibrium plasmas in reforming reactions are discussed. Subsequently, the formation and characteristics of non-equilibrium plasmas were studied and analyzed. On this basis, the related research on non-equilibrium plasmas in methane and carbon dioxide reforming for synthesis gas production was carried out, including the production of non-equilibrium plasmas and their effects on reaction kinetics and thermodynamic properties. Finally, the application prospects and development directions of non-equilibrium plasmas in methane and carbon dioxide reforming for synthesis gas production are discussed.Keywords: methane and carbon dioxide reforming, non-equilibrium plasma, reaction mechanism, kinetic properties, thermodynamic properties.
