This paper aims to explore the application of discourse markers in non-English major graduate writing and their impact on writing through corpus analysis. Through statistical analysis of the corpus, it is found that discourse markers are widely used in graduate writing and help express the author's ideas and thoughts. However, there are also problems such as excessive or inappropriate use, which have a negative impact on the quality of writing.
