Geometric precision correction of remote sensing images is a crucial step in remote sensing applications. This paper aims to explore the geometric precision correction methods of remote sensing images for island and coastal zones, in order to improve the quality and application effect of remote sensing images.This paper first briefly introduces the concept, process and application of geometric precision correction of remote sensing images. Then, according to the characteristics of remote sensing images for island and coastal zones, the common problems in geometric precision correction of this type of images are analyzed, including the selection of geodetic coordinate system, atmospheric correction and geodetic correction. In response to these problems, this paper proposes corresponding geometric precision correction methods to improve the accuracy and effect of geometric correction.
