Nonlinear chromatic dispersion is the most critical of these nonlinear effects, affecting transmission distance, transmission rate, and optical signal waveform in fiber optic communication. Therefore, this paper will focus on the study of the influence of nonlinear chromatic dispersion on the transmission characteristics of fiber optic communication, and explore the current developments in related research.Firstly, this paper will introduce the common transmission models in optical fiber communication and discuss the physical mechanism of chromatic dispersion and optical fiber optics in-depth. Then, this paper will explore the optical signal distortion and optical pulse diffusion caused by nonlinear chromatic dispersion, and analyze the impact of these problems on fiber optics communication.
