ixxxx 学院学士学位论文A S tudy of S enior H igh S chool S tudents' English R eading T eaching S trategies B ased on the C oncept of C ore Competence AbstractDiscipline core competence is the educational standard put forward by the moral education goal of the Ministry of Education of China, which is based on the unique educational function of English. For a long time, English as a "tool" discipline, to improve students' language learning and using ability, promote students' thinking ability, develop students' international vision and advance the progress of cross-cultural communication. Reading English materials, is not only the embodiment of the "instrumental" of English discipline, but also adapts to train new talents of social development requirements. In 2017, the Ministry of Education promoted the curriculum reform, formally promulgated the Ordinary High School English Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition) (hereinafter referred to as the New Standard ), which puts forward the core competence of English in language ability, culture awareness, thinking quality and learning ability. All of the four aspects not only improve well-rounded education, but also follow the tendency of training new talents of new century. The “New Curriculum Standard(2017)” has released, in the meantime the college entrance examination has also tranformed. The traditional English reading teaching has not been able to conform to the “New Curriculum Standard” trend of the time.
