校史馆英文讲解稿件ThefirstfloorThehallLadiesandgentlemen,welcometothehistorymuseumofShanghaiCustomsCollege.I’myourmuseumannouncertoday.Asyoucansee,thearchitectureofthisbuildingisSpanishstyledanditisacopy/replicaoftheoriginalbuildingonFenyangRoad.Theoriginalonewasbuiltin1932,designedbythefamousWutakforeignfirm（邬达克洋行）atthattime.Webegantousethatbuildingasoneofourschoolofficebuildingsin1953.Inordertomaketheyounggenerationsrememberthehistory,wecopiedtheuniqueandtypicalbuildingherewhenwemovedtothenewcampusin1997.Thebuildinghas3floors,andourvisitwillbegininthishall.Nowasyoucansee,thesculptureonthewallpresentsthatthousandsofvesselsonriversarecompetingfortheadvancement（千帆竞发，百舸争流）.TheChinesewordsonthewalltellthespiritofourcollege--patriotic,ambitious,open,andversatile.Youcantakephotoshereafterthevisit.Well,ladiesandgentlemen,let’sproceedtothefirstroom.Room1Thefirstpartinfrontofusshowsthesceneoftheinauguralceremonyofourschool.In2007,Mr.MuXinsheng,formercommissioneroftheGeneralAdministrationofChinaCustoms(GACC),andMr.XiJinping,theformerGeneralSecretaryofShanghaiMunicipalCommitteeofCPCandcurrentChinesePresident,inauguratedanewperiodforourschool—fromajuniorcollegetoaregularcollege.Itwasamemorableandhistoricmoment.Mr.HanZheng,theformerShanghaimayor,alsoattendedtheceremony.Thisschoolplaqueyouseehereistheoriginaloneinthephoto.Itwitnessesourschoolhistory.Nowlet’sgobackto1908.Ouruniversitygrewfromataxschool.Atthattime,theheadmasterwasMr.TangShaoyi,whowasalsothefirstprimeministeroftheRepublicofChina.Let'slookatthisphotographtakenonFenyangRoad.Thisisourformercampus.Now,whatyoucanseeisthePeople’sDailyin1953,recordingthefoundingoftheShanghaiCustomSchool,ahistoricmomentforourcollege.Youmayseethenumberoftheenrolledstudentsismuchbiggerthanbefore.Wehavecultivatedmanyexcellenttalentsandoutstandingfigures,forexample,QianGuanlinandDuanMujun,theyservedascommissioneranddeputycommissionerofChinaCustoms.Herearephotosofsomeformerleaders.Theyallmadegreatcontributionstotheschool.Mr.JiaZhenzhi,theheadmasterofourschoolandShanghaiCustomsdirector.andLikethisgentleman,Mr.FengHuaquan,asupervisorfromtheGeneralAdministration,hewasinchargeofschoolevents.（右中）Thegentlemanwasoneoftheoldleaderswhomadegreatcontributionsduringtheresumptionofourschoolin1980.（右上）AndHeisstillalive.Insidetheshowcase,thereisaredarmband,whichwasusedbyourschoolstudentsintheGreatCulturalRevolution,andlaterwascollectedbyourteachers.Andthisisthecertificateofadmissionatthattime.Withtheadvanceoftechnology,theoneIgotismuchprettierthanthisone.Thesearethecertificatesofawards,collectedfromsomeexcellentalumna.Okaynow,let’smovetothesecondroomofthefirstfloor.Room2Thisroompresentstherecordsincetheresumptionoftheschoolingin1979.OurschoolusedtobetemporarilyclosedbecauseoftheGreatCulturalRevolution.OnMay8th,1980,basedonShanghaiCustomSchool,ShanghaiJuniorCustomCollegewasfoundedafterbeingapprovedbytheStateCouncil.In1996,ShanghaiJuniorCustomsCollegechangedhernametoShanghaiCustomsCollege.InMarch,2007.ShanghaiCustomscollegewasupgradedtoanundergraduateinstitution,approvedbytheMinistryofEducation.Nowasyoucanseeintheseshowcases,thereareschoolbadgesfromdifferentstagesofourcollege’sdevelopment......Asyoucanfeel,thisroomisfulloftheatmosphereofvintage,becauseyoucanseemanyoldcopieshere.Theywereallusedintheoldtimes.Forinstance,thetypewriter,...
