关 于 STAY,REMAIN 和 KEEP 用 法 的 一 些 区 别 一 、 在 表 示 “ 继 续 呆 在 某 处 ” 时 ， 应 用 remain 或stay, 两 者 可 以 互 换 , 它 们 都 是 不 及 物 动 词 。 如 ： Shall I go or stay? Stay indoors for a few days until your cold is better. He remained in his seat after all the other students has gone home. 二 、 表 示 “ 住 在 某 处 ” 时 ， 只 能 用 stay, stay 作 不 及物 动 词 用 。 如 ： He is staying at Hilton Hotel. My mother-in-law is staying with us this week. 三 ． 表 示 “ 暂 住 、 短 期 停 留 ” 时 ， 只 能 用 不 及 物动 词 stay 。 例 如 ： He is staying at Hilton Hotel. My mother-in-law stayed with us this week when she visited us.四 、 在 表 示 “ 残 留 、 剩 下 ” 时 ， 只 能 用 remain 。如 ： Not much of the house remained after the fire. Paul managed to keep awake by drinking lots of strong black coffee. ３ 、 当 要 表 示 “ 使 某 人 或 某 物 保 持 某 种 状 态 ” 时 ，只 能 用 keep, 此 时 keep是 及 物 动 词 。 如 ： She had kept him waiting twenty minutes on this occasion.
