AbstractEnglish Extensive Reading aims to help students accumulate linguistic knowledge, enhance English language sense and improve discourse analysis skills, and obtain a large amount of information through a large amount of reading. However, most Chinese students have a weaker foundation in English reading, lack of appropriate reading strategies, and even use extensive reading as an intensive reading practice. Therefore, this has formed the research purpose of this paper: combing and summarizing English extensive reading skills and proposing effective ways to effectively develop these skills.
