The microstructure, structure and composition of the coating were analyzed by SEM, XRD, EDS and other characterization methods, and the corrosion behavior of the coating samples was studied by electrochemical testing methods. The results showed that the hydroxyapatite coating could effectively improve the corrosion resistance of AZ91D magnesium alloy and reduce the corrosion rate. However, the compactness and bonding strength of the coating still need to be further optimized. In addition, some problems and solutions in the process of coating preparation were discussed, which provided reference for further optimization of the coating performance.Keywords: AZ91D magnesium alloy; hydroxyapatite coating; corrosion behavior; chemical deposition
